Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 100 Ultimate Ride

It was costing him a fortune but he was going to do it - besides he could afford it.

Mark had done his research and he'd found it....

the ultimate ride - higher, longer, scarier than any theme park ride.

Since his lottery win nothing was out of his range......

not even the Virgin Galactic Tourist Spaceship!

The Virgin Galactic Tourist Spaceship which Richard Branson has unveiled this week.

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

So clever and well done my friend. I'd give anything to be able to go on that spaceship. Dang...I gotta win the lottery. Have a wonderful Friday my friend :) Aloha

It made me laugh that they ran the piece about the spaceship just after the Copenhagen convention item on breakfast news!!

An entertaining story and an education! I had no idea this was so close to completion!

Very topical 55. I wonder how much a flight costs.

Branson has way more money than he knows what to do with.
Excellent 55 Pearlie Mae.
I'm so very thankful for friends like you.
You are a beautiful soul My Dear.
Thanks for this fine contribution, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...Xo

And you need to win the lottery to take that ride.
Great 55.

Fandango said...

We could take him for a ride on our back. It would be very exciting.
Great 55

akelamalu: hehehehahahaha. that was fun. That's hard to believe that such a craft could ever go out into real space like the shuttle.
A craft can't fly out in space like you can with an atmosphere. So that design throws me.

later sweetie. It's interesting though.

later sweetie. xxx

I've been reading about this thing all week and it sounds exciting---I'm surprised at how it looks however. A bit goofy.

But it made a great 55! I wouldn't mind spending my Lotto win in space! LOL

Thank you for your wishes to our 40th wedding anniversary. 35 is also not bad, lol ! in 5 years you will be at the same stage as I. BTW nice to meet you, we are almost neighbours ! You live in the UK and I in Belgium. 1 1/2 h from Brussels to London with the Eurostar !

It would be good if you join in the 55 challenge Mrs N!

I hope you win enough to be able to pay for this ride Thom!

Yes, ironic wasn't it Flowerpot! LOL

Neither did I Quilly

A LOT Nessa!

Thanks Daryl x

LOL, glad you like the decs Dumdad. I haven't gone overboard with them this year. ;)

I know Ron - it needs a lottery win doesn't it?

Oh yes Buff, it would be a wonderful sight to be sure!

I think I'd be too scared of not being able to get back to take a chance on the trip Bee.

Ah, you're adventurous Anthony :)

I'd love the winning lottery ticket but I wouldn't spend the money on the ride Brian :)

Well I hope your ship comes in San m'dear. x

I hope you bought a lottery ticket then Alice Audrey LOL

Cheers Storyteller :)

Thanks Dianne x

Me too Cheshire Wife!

He definitely does G-man but he does spread it around. :)

You certainly do Dr. John!

Now a ride on a dragons back would be something different Fandango!

I know, it's hard to believe that it would be capable of such a flight Spiky!

It does look a bit goofy I agree Susan. I definitely wouldn't spend my win on it!

Thankyou Cloudia x

You're welcome Gattina and yes we are neighbours. :)

You are so good at this.

Ah, I see no one ever spends money on common sense. :)

What a visual that one was...and I thought roller coasters were scary. Nice job!

Linda said...

Ah, the things you can do with a nice lottery win! My son was telling me today that he wished I'd win the lottery as he'd found a nice little Mercedes he'd like to have! I'd be more than happy to buy it for him but first I have to buy that elusive winning ticket!

Shrinky said...

Ah, another witty and wonderful flash! I dunno', £200,000?? That's what I call conspicuious consumerism, and with the added bonus of of all those extra tons of carbon emission being donated for free, what's not to like about it, eh?

Maude Lynn said...

You couldn't drag me on that thing!

Great 55!

Akelamalu said...

I hope so too Lettuce :)

Why thankyou Jeff x

Some people have more money than sense don't they Hope?

A bit lottery win to help family and friends is everyone's dream Linda. You have to be in it to win it though!

It's ridiculous isn't it Shrinky?

Me neither Mama Zen!
