Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 150 Message from Space....

Listening to the broadcast, the scientists deliberated over where it had originated.

What galaxy had life forms capable of sending a message into space.

They were the only ones who were evolved enough.

These were strange sounds, hopefully they would be able to make sense of the garbled message....

Across The Universe by The Beatles!

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

I found a really good post at fame whore squirrel sarcastic bastard's blog which says something like "why would aliens go half way across the universe to see US that's a bit like driving 1000 miles to go burger king!"

am i making more sense now? I try and try to

i'm afraid what i wrote before i understood same as you can read your own shorthand back... ukk

i put a brilliant bit from my medication leaflet that describes me in a nutshell, very strange. when i 1st read it i was still whacko and had this feeling it had been written just for me!

i don't wanna say THAT chez moi, everybody already thinks i'm crazed enough, y'know...

And a most worthy song to go out there.

Don't they think that the first TV broadcast that was strong enough to escape the atmosphere was actually Hitler? The aliens will either stay well away or blow us up!

perhaps we would find just how non advanced we really are....

Hi Akelamalu, in light of your comment on my blog, I've just posted this:
Sorry about that. I'm tending to put most of the prompts in a couple of Mini Mag posts, but since I'm posting every day again, they end up well down. I do link to the right post on the prompt site.
You'll find the 55 here.

At least it was the Beatles and not the Rolling Stones. I figure Keith Richards is an alien to begin with.

I suppose aliens would try to find us for the same reason we're trying to find them Gleds, to know they're not alone. :)

I agree Anthony :)

I like to think aliens would want to get to know us AJ :)

Probably Brian ;)

Maybe G-man, I certainly was!

Thanks Daryl x

So, so true as the Beatles really managed to alienate a lot of people when they first came on scene while liberating so many more!

Here's hoping for a universally wonderful weekend!

I think it's inevitable that one day we'll have first contact. I just wonder if it's going to be within my lifetime.
