Susan at Stony River hosts this fun theme each Monday, so do pop over and read the others who have signed Mr. Linky. The rules are thus:
Every Monday Susan will post a picture for the subject of your story. Microfiction means the shortest of short stories. Think Aesop's fables, comic strips, or even jokes: complete stories that can be told in under a minute. For this game, the limit is a tweetable 140 characters or fewer, including punctuation and spaces.
Here's today's picture and my contribution.
Amy was sure she knew the way home and she was hungry.
Now she wasn’t sure, everywhere looked the same.
She wished she’d waited for Jo now.

Scary.
That's frightening. It doesn't take long to be totally lost in woods if you don't know where you are.
I was worried before I read your words.
A frightening moment.
Nice one.
Awh bless, I hope she finds her way home safely :O)
Poor little mite. I remember being in a similar situation as a child. Scary, for child and parents. Good MF.
Oh, I'm frightened for her! I wish she had waited for Jo too!
Poor kid .. that will teach her ;-)
she will find her way and have cake when she gets there because i say so! ha ha ha
smiles, bee
oxoxoxoxoxoxo
Aww. I hope she's safe and no big bad wolves show up. Great microfiction.
Oh, a scary one indeed! I can relate, as I was always wandering off and away from everyone else and getting lost! Hope you have a lovely week! Enjoy!
Sylvia
Jo will find her, I have no doubt, cause Marmee would make sure of it!
Sandi
It is Dumdad!
Indeed AJ
I was worried as soon as I saw the picture Valerie!
Very frightening for a child Anthony.
I hope so too Madeleine
I vividly remember my youngest son being lost and it scared the life out of me Lisa!
I wish she'd waited for Jo too EG Wow
It certainly will Daryl!
I like your ending to the story Bee x
As you know, I LOVE scary movies, so this was faaaaaaaaabulous!
Oooooooo...VERY scary!

I hadn't thought about wolves Evenstarwen! :0
I never wandered off Sylvia but my youngest son was always getting lost. :(
I'm keeping my fingers crossed Sandi ;)
I quite like scary movies too Ron but I want a happy ending to this one. ;)
that's scary, and so fits the photo
my son was big on wandering off but in the city, not the woods
don't know which is more dangerous
Jo seems like the kind who will come back for her sister.
Uh-oh--panic time. I remember getting lost walking home from kindergarten not long after we'd moved to a new house, because both of the neighbor girls I usually walked with stayed home sick that day. I was crying, but eventually I found our house.
Then Amy found the cell phone on the side of the path and called in for a pizza delivery.
Sorry, the devil made me do it.
What a scary feeling!
akelamalu: poor amy thought she was alone and lost.
jo jumped out from behind a tree brought relief instead of surprize.

HOpe she's ok! :O(
Lost in the woods! Hope there are no bears!
It's amazing how hungry we get when we take a wrong turn. Nice one!
Oh, boy, that lost in the woods feeling.
Here I go again - I think?
Well done girl!
Getting lost is pretty scary when you're that little.
I hope she knows the sit down and wait rule! She'll stand a better chance of being found.
I agree Dianne, the woods or the city both dangerous places. :0
I think so too SAW :)
Ah Pat your homing instinct kicked in!
LOL thanks for lightening the dilemma Dave :)
Indeed it is for a little one septembermom!
Now that would be a good ending Spiky! x
Aw Cloudia, you are very kind in your praise. xx
Me too Diane :0
Oh no, I never thought of bears Strummed Words!
Yes it is Hope.
It is a terrible feeling Nessa :(
You've done that Aims? :0
It certainly is Trav!
I hope she knows that rule too Quilly!
Good job. I would say, Amie was walking along the thick tree leaf covered road. When she stepped on something that moved, she couldn't see because of the leaves, she screamed.
Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh! Had the hairs on my neck standing to attention!
I have missed a few weeks - just so busy but I'll be back!
(Alavista Baby!)
Dx
A wee bit chilling, I'd say!
oh noooooo!
Great take on the picture Connie. Is it 140 characters? You should join in on Mondays. :)
I've missed your MMs Denise
Yes indeed Nitebyrd
Don't worry Flowerpot, I'm sure she'll be OK. :)
Mummy was right. I hope that there aren't any wolves around.
I hope she manages to find her way, even without Jo...will keep my fingers crossed for her!
Have a great week. Cheers.
