Chico hated her for depriving him.
She said it was for 'his own good' - How?
He was miserable and would look at her dolefully.
He tried ignoring her, even crying, but she wouldn't give in.
After many months he got used to it and now he was a happy
lightweight, lithe, labrador who could run.
Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

Another little gem.
I always told my dogs that I knew best... of course, they didn't believe me.
The kind of ending I like. Nice one.
I have my lab on a diet too and she is so hungry, but alas she will be able to run faster and be healthier.

Excellent as always! Now if I could just get someone to treat ME like a Labrador maybe I could lose some weight!
Perseverance is key.
I hope Chico's owners were just as diligent with their own diets.
Chico...?
Hahahahahahahaha
Loved it Ake...You always make me smile.
Excellent 55 My Dear.
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...G
Ah hahaha - well that was a delightful little tease of a piece!
My dog is spending his time looking at me mournfully, too.
Ah the grow bigger but some pup still remains....which explains my 109 lb. Lab's evening greeting. :)
Good doggy!

Reminded me of Liz's dog George
from liz-and-harvey.blogspot.com
I don't know if you're acquainted with George...
You are a clever trevor!!
We have been doing this for Gwennie as she has hip problems, Mr Bankerchick has been firmer with this while I was gone and she is so slim, It was good for her!
