Skeletons.....

No, we didn't find any in the loft whilst MWM was clearing it, thank goodness.

However we did find the following:

2 portable televisions

A roll of carpet

A parasol - pity we forgot about that because we went and bought a new one for the garden only last week.

Lots of wood

Lever arch files - enough to kit out a small office

A Lilo

A huge bag of photoframes

A rocking horse

A sleeping bag

Various Xmas decorations that we didn't know we had

A hanging captains chair bought in Tenerife in 2001 which has never seen the light of day.

Hundreds of books

Various holdalls

and last but not least a fake dog turd! Don't ask!

Can I interest anyone?

Trips to the tip and the charity shop are planned for today, and I may put some things on ebay, but the scary thing is most of this stuff will be going back up in the loft once it's been insulated!

My knee
Thursday 10th May
Feeling better today.

We had a loft conversion done and got rid of almost everything!! It was wonderfully liberating!

MWM has his whole model train layout in the loft, the rest of the stuff could be got rid of. But, you know how it is - we just might need it!

I have never ever owned a fake dog turd. Its not that I have anything against fake Dog Turds. I think you should keep it . Maybe one day you will need a fake dog turd. Not quiet sure when, but I would hate for you to say "You know I wish I didnt give that fake dog turd away".LOLOL

Too late, son took it home and his dogs ate it!!!! He said it was made of papier mache. :(

I have to admit it, I've actually owned a fake dog poop. It was made of plastic. I bought it at a joke shop for April Fools' Day.

fake dog turd...yikes!

I have a load of stuff sitting in the basement of my apartment in Italy - the thought of clearing the stuff in there is enough for me to put off the trip there next month!

Morning Akelamalu!

I'll pay you 200 USD for the fake dog turd!

However, I can see from your comments...EVERYONE seems interested in it!

I think we should just "draw straws" (tee-hee)

Anyway, great post...it feels so good to "clean out" doesn't it? It's a great lesson in "letting go" for new things to come!

Have a great day Akelamalu!

Be well,
Ron

I think you should post the fake turd to the first person who asks for it. Then they should take a pic of themselves with it, and blog it, before sending it on to somebody else. You never know...your turd might make it all the way round the world!

Oh Damn...I just read it's been eaten. My good ideas never seem to work out!

o.k., not interested in the fake dog turd- I have more than enough of the real stuff around here.
But, by all means, HANG the captains church somewhere in your lovely garden. What a nice memory, I'm sure.
Knee seems to be progressing nicely!

The Captains Chair was bought purposely to hang on the Pergola - that MWM hasn't built yet!!

Ah another back end story!

Another episode of toilet humour, eh, Akelamalu?
Is this a new direction?

Ah! Just yesterday I bought a dozen Lever Arch files from Staples! If only I'd waited it...

It is really funny how much we all hoard throughout our lives. I used to keep everything, just in case!
But nowadays if I don't need it, it goes in the bin.

Put me down for the hanging chair and the dog turd (think you played that trick on me). No spare train sets going then??

Me again, see I'm to late for the dog turd, never mind I'll make my own!!
