In her dreams, Ann was a film star, a celebrity, famous.

In reality she was a wife, mother, sister, daughter.

She knew which she’d rather be.

That's lovely. I think we all know whether we'd prefer our reality or our dream version of life.

Nice to have our heads in the clouds sometimes, but it's not as rewarding as reality.

She's part way there. She's got the shades on.

Isn't that the truth--being wife, mother, sister, daughter is infinitely more satisfying than being famous. I'm assuming that's what Ann was thinking. Very sweet!

"She knew which she'd rather be"

I'm guessing that could vary from day to day.

I really enjoyed the story and the ending, which is open to interpretation. Lovely!

I would hate to be a famous film star. I would have liked to be a mother, though.
So it's true, everyone has their own dream.

I love that you didn't say which one.

Akelamalu said...

Me too Nitebyrd

I feel blessed to be a mother Kay, never wanted to be a film star.

I leave it to my readers to decide SAW ;)
