Friday 55 Flash Fiction #156 The Big Race.......

He'd been looking forward to the big race.

The most important one on the calendar.

He'd practiced daily for months.

Round and round the track,

becoming faster and faster with each lap.

He was fit.

He was keen.

He was ready.

There was only one thing would stop him from winning today....

an overweight jockey.

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

I've always wondered if a horse has any thoughts about having to race. I'd like to think they are happy about doing it.

Oh poor thing!
Must admit that I wasn't expecting that ending but might have known that you'd give it a twist! Cos you usually do!
