Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 56 Christmas Morning

Christmas Morning

Ali dressed the Christmas Tree.

Wrapping presents,

Baking and cooking,

She loved Christmas.
No children but she made the effort for David.
She sat and cried when on Christmas morning she discovered they’d been burgled.

“They didn’t get your present” said David handing her an envelope.

First class travel tickets to the Maldives, leaving today.

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

I'm glad the story had a happy ending but what a horrible thing to have your house burglarized at Christmas.

Great 55! I know people that have been burglarized just before Christmas, it is a sad occasion. Good thing she gets to recover in the Maldives.

Merry Christmas to you!

I went to the Maldives in 1999 for New Year RLL so you're too late honey. If you get the chance to go though do, it's paradise!

Oh yes, Jeff, we had to have a happy ending. :)

It is a very sad thing to happen at any time Rastaman. The Maldives are Definitely the best place to recover :(

Thanks Mary, glad you enjoyed it. :)

That's horrible. :( We've never been burglarized but we did have a package stolen from our front porch a couple years ago. It wasn't even a Christmas gift. It was something I ordered to help us concieve. I guess I either didn't need it or that stuff works so well that just walking in the vicinity of where it had been got me pregnant the very next month.

No vacation for me, you lucky girl! ;-)

This must be hard to set up in just 55 words. You said a lot with the pictures. I am glad that she had the trip to Maldives.

Couldn't miss your Friday 55 Flash, Akelamalu!!!

GREAT story with a wonderful ending!!

Which reminded me of a time when I was a kid and my parents had just bought all our toys at the mall and had their car packed with them. They went back in the mall for a few more things and when they came back out...they discovered that their car had been broken into and ALL the toys were missing!! They went BACK into the mall and had to buy them all over again!!

I'll never forget my mother telling me that story when I got older!

Hey...I LOVE your new blog template!!! It looks GREAT! And the snow flakes are FABULOUS!!!

BRAVO!

Enjoy your weekend, dear lady!!!

Yay! At least it was a happy ending after all!

Put it on your calendar Dr. John I'd love to see what you can come up with!

I'm pleased you like the Christmas decorations Dianne and the story. :)

LOL I can just imagine the thief's face when they opened your package Erica - priceless!

It's easier than you might think Pam once you get in that mindset. Glad you liked it.

Oh, I'm so glad I didn't really upset you Ciara, you know I would never do that intentionally. x

Oh Pauline it's good to see you and your wicked dark side! x

Thanks G-man, and the same to you honey. x

That must have been a reallly expensive Christmas for your parents Ron! So pleased you like the 55 and the new template. :)

Oh yes Mona, I like happy endings. :)
