What's in a name?.......

I came across this at Storyteller's place and as it seemed like fun I had a go. It's alarmingly true! Have a go, see what your name means.

What Akelamalu Means

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.

You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.

You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.

You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.

People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.

You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.

At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.

You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.

Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are confident, self assured, and capable. You are not easily intimidated.

You master any and all skills easily. You don't have to work hard for what you want.

You make your life out to be exactly how you want it. And you'll knock down anyone who gets in your way!

You are a very lucky person. Things just always seem to go your way.

And because you're so lucky, you don't really have a lot of worries. You just hope for the best in life.

You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy. Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.

Cheshire Wife has given me the Arte Y Pico award.

You may remember I received this very same award a couple of weeks ago, but a girl can't have too many awards so I gratefully accepted it, hell I nearly ripped her arm off!  Thanks Cheshire Wife. x

Anyway as the last line in the 'What's in a name' thingie above says

You're sometimes a little guilty of being greedy.
Spread your luck around a little to people who need it.

I'm going to do just that (not that you need it awardees) according to these rules:

The rules of Arte Y Pico are that it is passed onto five blogs that you consider deserve this award for their creativity, design, interesting comment, or for contributing to the blogging community, whatever language. Each award winner has to show the award on their blog and link their blog to the blog that has given them the award.

I'm going to pass this award on to some relatively new (to me) blogs who have impressed me for one reason or another.  I hope they will pass them on according to the rules.
If you haven't read these blogs do go visit I think you will like them too.

Wait there's more.........

Storyteller (Small Reflections) gave me this beautiful award too.

She passed it on to all her 'followers' - you know that new blogger thingy that you can put in your sidebar to show who is following you?   It's up there at the top of my sidebar.
Well I think all bloggers are 'Lights Across The Web', so all who comment on this post please take this award for yourself and pass it on if you so wish.

Neat awards. Congratulations!

I rather like what it says about my name, beginning with "You are very intuitive and wise..."

I think I'll post the whole thing tomorrow or Friday.

Have a fun day!

Wow, thank you. I'm quite surprised. My blog isn't all duded up like some. I don't write much political commentary, very little sports, just trapshooting. I just try to entertain myself, keep my faminly intouch with what's going on and drop the ocasional F bomb. I could go on and on as I usually do then erase and be on my way. Thanks.

Hmm, well my result told me I was both relaxed AND tightly wound!! How does that work??

Congrats on your awards :)

So do you think that this accurately describes you? If so, you sound an awful lot like my hubby :-) (No worries, he's a great guy).

Thanks for sharing the award! Peace - D

I don't want to blow my own trumpet but my name means

'you are usually the best at everything......'

I would like to think that it is true but I do not think that it is.

Thank you Sweetie. I am overwhelmed and humbled by your kind words and this award.

Now tell me something - why do I have such a hard time turning the butterfly into a pointy hand?

I do vaguely remember you doing the name thingie Ciara, as you say though Scorpios together!

I look forward to reading your Nick :)

Doesn't matter what your blog looks like Lu (thought it's lovely), it's what people think about it that matters and I like it very much! :)

Maybe you're a loosely coiled spring CG! LOL

Some parts of it are uncannily

Congrats to you and a big thank you. I will post this later this week since I am still drying out from a very rainy weekend. You are a kind blogging friend and I always look forward to my visits to your place. I just turn the music on, settle down in my comfy chair with my beverage of choice ;) and I read, chuckle and sometimes get scared by your story endings! And I totally agree with your post about bad manners and rude behaviors - now that is real life scary! Enjoy your day - and thanks for making mine so much brighter! :)

Hello Akela, long time no blog-contact, and I'm glad to see that you're still raking in the well-deserved awards - congratulations! I have just changed my name on the blogoshpere, so this is very interesting! In fact my new name is really my real name so I'll try it with that and see what they come up with! Well this part was right at any right ...

You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.
You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.
People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality.

As for the rest of it - not so much!
