Not A Scare In The World....

Is the title of David's (Authorblog) post containing this weeks question. You remember last week's question was "What would you like to say to the girlfriend or boyfriend that first dumped you?"

Here's how it works:

David says - Every weekend, I'm going to ask you one simple question. Answer the question on your own blog, any time until Friday. Please link to this blog (or to this post) just so I can follow the progress of the notion.

And the question is:Do you believe in ghosts?

My Answer:

Yes, I most definitely do. I haven't actually seen a ghost but I have seen evidence that they are around. Many times I have put things down in the kitchen, turned to do something else only to find the item missing when I turn back around. When this happens I usually say "Right, I'm going out of the room and I want the 'whatever' back where I left it when I return" - lo and behold it's back where I left it when I return. You may think it's just my imagination but MWM has been there when it's happened. I have to say though it hasn't happened since we had the kitchen remodelled two years ago, so perhaps the ghost got thrown out with the old cupboards!

If you want to join in just follow the link to David's blog and let him know you're participating.

I have a similar problem to this; every time I go down town when I get home again all the money is missing out of my purse....unfortunately the "Right I'm going out of the room and want it back" doesn't seem to work! ;O)

I never have seen a ghost,
I never hope to see one.
I will tell you one thing though,
I'd rather see than be one!
(Badly remembered poem from youth)!

In regards to things in the kitchen disappearing, I often wonder why they would waste time with such innocuous stuff. After all there are far better ways of letting me know they're there. Like knocking absolutely everything over in the kitchen when I'm trying to make a meal.

At least then I can blame it on a ghost and my wife will get off my back! :)

hey, ake: (i can't spell your entire name). i'm here from the Rotten correspondent's blog. she speaks so well of you! and now i see why.

i don't believe in ghosts. but my family does, and we have many ghost stories, most of which involve my grandparents' house, which actually had to be exorcised before ayone would buy it.

my older brother used to sleep fully clothed whenever we visited there, in case he had to run out of the house in the middle of the night to escape the ghost.

ghosts, actually--when they exorcised the house, i think they discovered there were four primary ghosts, and one small ghost of a dog.

i think i wasn't supposed to put all this here. i think i was supposed to put it on my own blog and link here. sorry! as the R. C. will tell you, i'm no good at following rules.

Hi Laurie thanks for dropping by.
You have some good ghost stories there - get them posted up on your blog so everyone can read them!
About buffalodickdy - he uses poetic licence I think!

Dear Raddalrumskins......only joking. Of course I remember the watch Quenie but that was my mum not just any old ghost!

Do tell Linda.

well as you know, my kids are convinced we have ghosts, but I've never seen one. If I were a ghost I'd go someplace quieter than my house, let me tell you.

that thing on Sept. 27th sounds very interesting. I just may look into that. Thanks!

Linda said...

I believe in ghosts myself even though I've never seen one either. It's more of a feeling than anything else. My kids tell me that there's something here but I've never really felt it myself, maybe it doesn't like me?

I think there are definitely unexplained phenomena out there...ghosts, spirits, whatever you wanna call them. There are just some things that can be explained no other way!

OHhhh...I definitely know the ghost vibe. The stories I could tell. Very strange happenings in Bloggingham Palace.

Akelamalu said...

Tell why Jenny, you've seen one?

I wouldn't like to see one either ciara. The more that join in 'stop the abuse' the better.

Well done Bee :)

Are you insinuating I abuse spirits Cream? You know I drink wine (and beer). ;)

Oh yes, your bathroom ghost correspondent! It would be great if you join in on the 27th. :0

Yes I agree Linda, it is more of a feeling but my son swears he saw a ghost regularly when he was living at home.

I so agree crazy working mom!

You must do a post on it Mimi, we need to know about the ghosts at the Palace. :)

Ah don't be scared Bella. x Glad you hear you'll be joining in the 'stop abuse' on the 27th. :)

G'day Akelamalu,

What a fascinating tale - how interesting that the incidents came to a stop after the refurbishment.

We just can't explain things like that, can we?

Cheers

David
