Succinctly Yours - A Microfiction Meme #24

Grandma at Grandma's Goulash provides a picture and a word prompt for this Microfiction Meme and the rules are use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words.

Want more challenge? Use the word of the week in your story. This part is optional.

This week's word is METHODICAL here's the picture and my offering using the picture and word of the week  in 140 characters, including spaces and punctuation.

Through the window Melanie watched her husband lining up the children’s toys.

He’d complained she was methodical but she was sure he had OCD!

Very good, but not for them.

There's a little OCD in most of us, I think;-)

Those dang, "irresponsible" OCDers. Heck, if his wife wasn't handy, Mr. Hubby would probably "Blame it on the Bossa Nova"! (<-- Quite a stretch, I know, but what a catchy, little tune I have just planted in your head for you to hear the rest of the day! LOL!)

P.S. You're welcome!

I agree Valerie

I think you're right Jabblog

Haha cheers Banker Chick

You're right it's stuck in my head now Sparkle Farkle LOL

Truth be told, I'd be the one out there lining up the cars too so I guess I've probably got a bit of OCD going on myself!

Akelamalu said...

I probably be helping you Linda, so I guess I got OCD too.

My husband has a touch of that, but not to an extreme. I like your take on this week's picture.

Very good. Wish my husband would develop OCD, but it's a little too late.

The shrink in me has to point out that is more likely obsessive-compulsive personality disorder rather than OCD.

Poor kids - a methodical mother and an OCD dad? Hope they get to make the odd mess, nevertheless (grin)!

It does look a little like a car park. I wish my parents had been slightly more organised - then maybe some of it would have rubbed off on me!

Akelamalu said...

Yeah they don't stand a chance do they Shrinky?

MWM and I are both neat and tidy but our two boys are quite the opposite so it doesn't always work out AJ!

A 'late-comer'...but I used your post as a guide--form, etc. Thanks. These are short, sweet, and hard-to-beat!

In your post, it reminded me of the sun calling the moon 'bright'...grin!

OMG, I'm your 24th butterfly. Feel a bit awkward in my winged costume!

PEACE!

Why thankyou Daryl :)

Glad to be of service Steve E. :)

At leask while he's out lining up the kids' stuff, he's out of her hair. Perhaps she should get the kids a few more vehicles and encourage the kids to scatter them. :D
