Friday 55 Flash Fiction #173 Message....

She kept picking her cell phone up fiddling with it.

“Are you expecting a message?” he asked.

“No, no, just trying the apps on my new phone”.

“You seem to be getting a lot of alerts” he said.

“I’m on Twitter” she said, “it’s great!”

He wished he’d never bought her the damn smart phone!

Not exactly fiction as I think this is how MWM probably feels this week. LOL

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

I know I'm on twitter a lot. Helps me get my writing done. Hard to believe I know. Love my Android phone.

I just wanted to tell you thank you for the sweet words about my tattoo on Daft Scots Lass's blog. I wasn't sure if I should put it out there, but I am now glad I did...and I am following you now too!

Great 55!

I know the feeling as husband has one. I have threatened to confiscate it at times, it irritates me so much.

As much as I love my iPhone, I have absolutely no desire to get involved with Twitter.

Electric Addict said...

people can't get their eyes away from their phones these days. imagine when battery life improves :(

Commander Zaius said...

Can't deal with twitter, I run my mouth far too much and cannot limit myself to 150 characters.

Akelamalu said...

I can understand that Mama Zen. We have settled back into mostly ignoring our phones now the novelty has worn off! LOL

They certainly can be irritating Cheshire Wife - phones and husbands!

We just wanted to see what all the fuss was about SAW - not worth the bother. ;)

Yes you're right Electric Addict, it's only battery life that hinders some people.

I'm used to writing stories in 140 characters so that's not a problem to me Beach but I prefer to write a lot more! ;)

Linda said...

There are indeed way too many distracting apps for phones these days! I use my FB app the most followed by Words With Friends but other than that, I try to leave the darned alone except for texting which I seem to do an awful lot of!
