Akelamalu: I always remember.

my uncle US Army is buried high up in the hills up north at a veteran cemetary. the golden poppy is the california state flower. I've been up there to visit his gravesie. the hillside is filled with golden poppies in spring, so beautiful.

I did not bow my head in silence today, the Child has school as normal, I was not remembering.

But I remember now.

Humbly.

When a Vet is somewhere with the little flowers I give a small donation and hang the poppy off the console in my car where I can see it.
Always good to remember their service!
