Friday 55 Flash Fiction #142 Strangers......

A room full of strangers.

She tried not to stare at anyone in particular, even managing a friendly smile here and there.

Making polite conversation, seeming interested, but wishing she could leave.

She didn't particularly like crowds and confined spaces, but she wasn't afraid.

Well, not until the lift juddered to a halt between floors!

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

OMG, this something that I have dreaded ever happening to me. The elevator in my apartment building is very old, therefore it breaks down a lot, with people stuck inside! Fortunately, in the past 8 years I've never had it happen to me.

Ooooops...watch it happen now that I said that - HA!

Great 55 Flash, m'dear!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh I hate that spastic stopping elevators do!

Now you make me want to hear the rest of the story.

It would be awful in an elevator full of strangers, especially in a high rise building!

You call them elevators G-Man yes. ;) Glad you enjoyed it.

Aw thanks Cloudia x

I once lived in a high-rise block and often used the stairs rather than the lift Brian.

The story could develop I think Hope ;)

Thanks Jingle x

Yes indeed, it could be tricky RNSANE!

Yep KB!

I'm not wild about being packed onto an elevator either.

Trapped in an elevator! Fortunately that has never happened to me. Now the shuddering stop...that happens quite often in the elevators at my office building.
