Susan at Stony River hosts this fun theme each Monday, so do pop over and read the others who have signed Mr. Linky. The rules are thus:
Every Monday Susan will post a picture for the subject of your story. Microfiction means the shortest of short stories. Think Aesop's fables, comic strips, or even jokes: complete stories that can be told in under a minute. For this game, the limit is a tweetable 140 characters or fewer, including punctuation and spaces.
Here's today's picture and my contribution.
Turning over the postcard Jan stared in disbelief.
“I’ve left you!” Jon, it said.
Jon, her hubby, had told her he was only going planespotting!

OMg how cruel. I tell you post cards aren't all cracked up they are suppose to be. They bear more bad news than good. LOL Excellent story my friend. Love it :)
The coward, not even a Facebook status change. Gone for SF adventure today. My 140 is here
Definitely cowardly.
But nicely done story.
Cowardly and uncaring.... but some men can't face up to bad things. My first phoned a friend and asked her to tell me....
Plane Spotting?
hehehehe
What a nasty man - a Dear Jon by postcard.
Great microfiction!
Looking on the bright side -- better to be told than to be living in doubt? What a terrible way to find out though...
Well done!
well, don't believe any man that tells you he's going plane-spotting
Just imagine the consequences if the postcard was never delivered? Lost in post? Hmmmmmmmmm!
well buggers to jon! ha ha ha

You first got a friend to tell you Valerie? That's just terrible!
A very lame excuse to get out of the house and to the airport G-man ;)

She's better off without him don't you think SouthLakesMom?
Good advice Rosneath ;)

Plane spotters cause all sorts of trouble. Read the Safety and Precautions section of any travel guide to any country anywhere and it plainly states NOT to take pictures of airports, aeorplanes... even railway stations and trains. And yet those Plane Spotters totally ignored that in Greece and the trouble they got into!
Then there was the scandal of all that extraordinary rendition. And then it was confirmed that American planes had indeed been at certain airports at certain times, because Plane Spotters had jotted said numbers down!
See: trouble trouble trouble!
Planespotting?
I hope she makes a run on the bank account quick fast!
At least he left her a lovely postcard...LOL. Great story.

Uhm, at least it had a nice picture? Not even a "Dear Jan" letter, but a "Dear Jan" post card. How sad.
That cowardly rascal!
So -- is her revenge the REAL story behind 9/11? Jon wouldn't want to meet me in a dark alley, I tell you what!
