Friday 55 Flash Fiction #128 Pampered....

The scent of the candles filled her senses.

She gently stroked her skin, smoothing the bubbles.

Steam rose from the bath, swirling towards the ceiling.

"Oh my God, what have I done?" she suddenly panicked.

Reaching for the phone she dialled 999.

"Please send help quickly.....

I've got my big toe stuck up the bathtap!"

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

I think I watched this on an episode of "Emergency" when I was a kid. Do you know that statistically getting one's toe stuck in the bath tap is a very common household occurrence? Do you also know that after reading this at least a couple of your readers are going to attempt to stick their toes in their bath taps? If they're lucky they'll only almost get stuck.

As ever! Excellent!

Didn't yo mama tell you never shove your toe up there?

Heehee I didn't expect that ending. Quilley's right, folk might just try it out...

Darned good thing she had a phone nearby or she'd have been a shriveled prune by the time she got help otherwise!

Great as always!

The voice of experience or just a great imagination? That is something most people have tried. I hope no one gets their toe stuck in the tap. Great read as always.

OMG, I had no idea where you were going with this, and when I got to your last line...

HAHHHAAHHAHAHHAHAHA!

I've got to remember that the next time I take a bath.

Brilliant as usual, m'dear!

Thanks for sharing!

Have a great weekend...X

Really? This is something people do?
And I take it 999 is England's emergency number? Ours is 911.

I've read about people doing this in the newspaper here a few times Quilly. I wonder if any of my readers will admit they've tried it? LOL

Cheers Mrs.N. x

She didn't listen to her Mama Scots Lass ;)

I think they may Valerie! :0

LOL lucky you only have small taps Morning AJ :)

That walk in bath has spoiled you fun Bee LOL

Oh yes, thank goodness for the mobile phone Linda!

I have tried but thankfully my toes didn't get stuck Pam :)

Now don't you go getting your toe stuck Ron! LOL

It could and does Mama Zen!

Yes they do SAW and yes 999 is equivalent to your 911.
