Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 122 The New Neighbour....

The new neighbour was worrying Anne.

A stream of men visiting daily, since she'd moved in.

Disgracing the neighbourhood.

It was her duty to report her suspicions.

The policeman listened to Anne's tirade.

"Oh we are acquainted with Mrs M" he told Anne

"she gives piano lessons to a quite a few of our officers!"

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

O that's classic!

Where's your butterfly pointer gone?

Re your questions, I'm trying to come up with an answer that's succinct and clear. When I can, I'll post it up.

Sorry!

Off the top of my head, the only explanation I can give here is something like

Accepting that we are powerless over our addiction.

O I dunno that still doesn't make sense.

Akelamalu said...

Glad you liked it Vodka Logic :)

He he I guess so Clean & Crazy!

Whatever do you mean G-man? ;)

I changed my template and the butterfly disappeared Gleds, but I found another one you should see it now. I'll look out for you answer. x

LOL! Do we take "piano lessons" at face value, or is that a code?

Another fun little story!

I will post that answer when it comes.
I'm doing something right. The drug counsellor thought I was on drugs today; I was just happy!!
O no I cannot recall ...
O yeah! Trooping the Colour. Do you know I stupidly didn't reckon on that being on television. When I was little I thought it was a ceremony they did every week... I also thought the Queen wore crown and ermine robe to breakfast...
I finally saw this year's re-run just now. After switching off England v USA in yanwfulness...
MEET THE F*CKERS IS ON BBC1 in 25 minutes!
If you go to the bottom of my Queen's Birthday post, you'll see Barbra Streisand straddling Robert Deniro.
I also made an irritated anti-immigration comment. Contrary to my views about Gordon Brown and Mrs Biggot Lady during the election I am actually sick to the back teeth of foreigners from places with which this country has no history flooding in and taking our social housing (cliche cliche ~ and like every good cliche it's TRUE). Our local council has leaflets and posters in French. At first I thought "hurrah! A "community language" I can read!! But this has nothing to do with bespectacled Gitaine-puffing intellectuals moving in from Paris to scribble Alain Robbe-Grillet novels in the garrets of Stoke Newington. It's for the French-speaking Africans who've piled in here in extraordinary numbers over the past decade ~ and what the hell might I ask are they doing here??
Rant over.
Have a cheery weekend
xx

I very much like your story. Lovely rhythm to it. And I like the two part punchline - leaving the final twist to the very last word.
