Playtime......

Last Thursday Nick asked if I would look after Sam, Harry and Gracie while he went to the hospital to have his plaster checked as he was getting a lot of cramp in his calf and thought the plaster may be too tight. As it turned out they removed the plaster and put a temporary one on until he had to go back for his proper appointment on Monday. Here's my boy thoroughly fed up.

Sam was playing some game on the Wii but I persuaded him to play me at tenpin bowling. He took great pains in showing me how to play and making sure I knew he was good, was he surprised when I beat him! Then we let the two little ones have a go, with Sam and I helping of course, that was hilarious. I offered Sam a return match but he refused and went back to playing his game.

After the bowling, as it was a (rare) fine warm day, Harry, Gracie and I played in the garden, Gracie mowed the grass with her toy mower whilst Harry whizzed round pushing Gracie's double buggy. I got to push them both on the swing then Harry decided he wanted to push Gracie, all went well until Harry got smacked in the mouth with the swing! No panic though I kissed him better and put some ice in a teatowel and held it on his mouth to prevent it swelling, he didn't even cry! I thought he'd forgotten all about it but when his mum came home he made sure she knew what had happened - I'm a bad Nanna!

Nick went back to the hospital on Monday where they xrayed his foot again and put another plaster on, so he's still on crutches until he goes back in three weeks. The doctor said it's healing well though it was a bad break, God alone knows how he managed to run on it after the attack. He's going stir crazy sitting at home all day and of course he's worried about the mortgage and the bills, I could murder the little b******ds that caused this. He hasn't heard anything from the police yet about what's happening with them, if justice isn't served I will be writing to my MP and the Godawful Gordon (Brown PM) for sure.

On a lighter note I'll leave you with some photos of the children having fun.

Your grandkids are just adorable and your son is quite handsome!

Don't you just love playing on the Wii? It really is a lot of fun!

Oh, and before I forget yet again - the slideshow that I did with the clouds and the Josh Groban music was done on Slide.com (the same one that you use); just choose music video on the side under options and there is a large number of songs you can choose from.

I agree...the kids are gorgeous! And you took some great swing photos!

Sorry - that sounded a bit rude ;)

I want a wii! Actually, I really want wii fit...I think it'll do me the world of good right now.

I never noticed the option to put music on the slide shows before, thanks for that Linda :)

I do hope that your boy is all better soon and that the cretins who injured him are caught and properly punished...oh, they don't have the death penalty there do they? Well, at least more than the slap on the wrist that's the norm these days...your grands are just too sweet for words! And you're the perfect Nanna, I'm sure!

You have a really great site! Very techno. Looks like you had it hotter where you were than where I was in Scotland!!

I reckon you're a pretty good nana.

Hello ~ Those grandkids are too cute! I do love the cool things you have on your blog. The picture frame with the floating hearts, the butterfly cursor ...it is like visiting a magical land. I need to become more techno savvy! I haven't played Wii but am a huge fan of RockBand and Guitar Hero! Lots of laughs with that. Best wishes to your son for a speedy recovery.

ake your grandkids are so adorable and precious, such sweet faces! your son ain't bad either, lol.

i haven't tried wii yet but from what i've heard, i think i'd like a wii fit game. i'll put that on my wish list!

hope they catch those ruffians!

Awww, Harry and Gracie are just too cute for words, but then they do have a rather handsome daddy, don't they? In a just world, those little thugs should be made to pay up for all the income your son has lost, plus compensation for all the distress caused (but then I suppose they would then only go out and mug someone else to for the money, huh?)

No, it's not fair Marmie, but as you always say "Aye it's life!" If I find your soul honey I'll keep it safe until you come to collect it. xx

Why thank you Acey, how kind. x

He's mending well thanks CG x

No death penaly here Sandi, more's the pity. Thanks for your kind comments. :)

Nick looks a whole lot better when he's happy Dianne! Harry was having a 'mad' 10 minutes, he's so funny!

I think it was a 'tad' hotter in Kefalonia than Scotland CJ but Scotland is just as/if not more beautiful! I'm pleased you like my humble abode, please call in again. :)

Yes I had a great day with the kids Storyteller, thanks for your good wishes.

Aw thanks Debbie, I'm so pleased you like what you see, and thank you for your good wishes.

They caught the 'ruffians' Robin it's what they do with them that begs a question! I'm glad you enjoyed your visit here and thanks so much for the lovely comment.

You got it Shrinky, people like those thugs couldn't give a flying f***k! Thanks for your nice comments about the babbies and my son. x

Babe I never realised how much Nick is getting to look like you (gorgeous of course). Looking forward to Sunday..

Your son's foot probably sustained extra damage from running on a break, but just as doctors are willing to bust a rib to get someone through a heart attack, his run was worth it.

Nick's healing well thanks Daryl :)

I am considering writing to the PM and my MP Cadok, though what good it will do I have not idea, it would however make me feel a whole lot better!

Aw thankyou for your kindness Bindi x

You really think so Queenie? I'm looking forward to Sunday too babe. x

You're right Julia, I'm so glad the adrenaline kicked in to make him forget the pain!
