Succinctly Yours - A Microfiction Meme #16

Grandma at Grandma's Goulash provides a picture and a word prompt for this Microfiction Meme and the rules are use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words.

Want more challenge? Use the word of the week in your story. This part is optional.

This week's word is RENEGADE here's the picture and my offering using both the picture and the word in 140 characters, including spaces and punctuation.

Rene Gade ran down the beach towards them.

Naturally they ignored her, until they realised the boat they’d been admiring belonged to her Dad!

OK, so I cheated a little on word of the week.

It could have been the name of the boat, I guess.

Nice way round it though. and good for her for having a rich daddy!

I cheat all the time and far worse on my word counts. Great job!

I like that very much; in a tongue in cheek way, it's a little typical of our society today!!

I don't call it cheating. Rather, I call it taking literary license.

This one really had a ring of truth to it. Liked your clever use of the week's word. Let's hope Rene keeps her maiden name, if she marries. lol

Never would have thought to use the word of the week for the name. Very clever.

I like your 'cheating' all the way! Google tells me that there are actual people with that name.
Even small people perk up with the mention of money.

Well, you get partial extra credit for Rene Gade! Thanks for the laugh! There are indeed those people who want to be friends with certain other people because of what they can get from them.

Thanks for the extra credit Pat x
