Succinctly Yours - A Microfictiin Meme #55

Grandma at Grandma's Goulash provides a picture and a word prompt for this Microfiction Meme and the rules are use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words.

Want more challenge? Use the word of the week in your story. This part is optional.

This week's word is METAMORPHOSIS here's the picture and my offering, using the picture and word of the week  in 140 characters, including spaces and punctuation.

Felix had been looking forward to having another cat to play with.

He just hoped the metamorphosis of the creature wouldn't take too long.

I think the big cat disapproves of the little cat's fancy hat.

Nice Micro-story, A.K. [:<)] ~~ I am sure that when this happens, if it really will, that Felix is hoping his friend's feathers will all have turned to fur.

I think the cat is thinking: very nice with salt and garlic!

The furry cat took ages to appear and the feathery bird took nearly forever... OK finally NOW I get what you're talking about...

Cats are weird though... I've seen quite a few online pixx of tame cats with birds... how on earth do people train them to be like that... And in how many cases does such tameness last the entire lifespan of the birdie, I wonder?

Fingers crossed...LOL!

I am sure that most cats would give at least one of their lives to have a bird to play with.

This was laugh out loud funny. We have completed our move and we are relaxing in Santa Barbara with the grandkids. I have not looked at the computer for a week, too busy!

Very well done, the cat does have a very expectant look on its face.

Uh-oh...If the metamorphosis takes too long, Felix might decide to eat the creature. Good use of the WOTW!

Haha, if the bird was a cat they would look almost like twins! great picture great bit of microfiction.

That's exactly what I thought when I saw the cat's expression Ron!

Oh you could be right Dumdad LOL

Sorry it took a while to load Gleds. Some cats are quite happy with other creatures but mostly they're not. ;)

I've always wanted a cat and a miniature parrot who could get on and love one another.

Knowing my luck it would all be hearts and flowers. Then I'd get home one evening to blood and feathers ... That would be just so typical. Most of the cat and bird pictures I've seen do feature very young-looking cats. Which makes me wonder what happened when kitty got older..(!)!!
