Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 57 A New Year........

A New Year

“You can’t stay in on New Year’s Eve” said Jilly

Reluctantly Abi went to the party, big mistake.

Her heart had died when she’d lost Mark, there was no point anymore.
Midnight chimed.

Abi looked up, tears blurring her vision.

“Happy New Year.

I’m sorry...........

I love you Abi, can we start again?” said Mark.

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

Hi...came by to see who you were. I'm glad you did and I'm glad I followed you here.

More please...

I have to know. If she said no...that is another avenue to take in a story. If she said yes...the story continues to reveal the days to come...more please.

Oh and btw...I'm not leaving yet. I've just met a few more new bloggers and I can't say goodbye just yet. Plus, I have a show to write with ronnie. :D

Ciao honey.

Ake, Dear:
We have come to expect really good writing and real heart from these little excercises. You turn them into a high art!
I took a day away from the web yesterday (posted today! ;-)
What did I miss?! LOL!
Happy New Year, Aloha my Friend!
& Hauoli Makahiki Hou to all of our blogging ohana!
As your short story today says: let the good things ressurect . . . now that we're chastened and truly appreciative. Onward to the age of Obama (read: all of us together!)

It had to have a happy ending for the new year Catch :)

You're welcome Nick x

Oh yes a happy ending is a must Flowerpot x

Thanks Mona, glad you enjoyed it.

Me romantic Buff? You got me there! ;)

Of course Bee couldn't have it any other way. :)

I'm so pleased you enjoyed it Pam :)

You can decide Daryl, whatever you like ;)

Yep new start I think Ciara. Sorry to hear you're ill honey. I was sick myself last week. :(

Ah thanks for dropping by Spiky, I'm so pleased to hear you've decided not to pack up just yet now I've found you! The beauty of 55s is that the reader sometimes gets to decide the outcome - this is one of them! ;)

Yes we had a great time RN, so glad you enjoyed the 55.

You need a day off occasionally Cloudia, whatever you miss you can always catch up m'dear. xx

Mark is sincere Storyteller, he's learned his lesson! ;)

Glad you liked it Maggie :)

I knew you'd like the romantic ending Ron xx

No, it's not easy to write in just 55 words Dr. John but it is satisfying when you manage it! :)

That's just what I was thinking Mojo. :)

I hope Abi said Yes too Linda :)

Of course I have a heart G-man most of my tales have a happy ending. ;)

New year, new start eh Trav :)

Happy start to 2009 definitely Citizen x

Welcome Mel I'm happy you visited and I hope you'll come back often. x

Ah yes a bit of romance is a good way to start isn't it Shrinky!

My pleasure Dianne, glad you liked it m'dear. x

Why thank you Chelle I'm happy you enjoyed the 55 and your visit, please do come back. x

Sorry you've been having trouble with the comments Cheshire Wife and I'm happy it didn't stop you from trying. :)

No new header Cloudia it's been there for ages. I think the change in blog colour and the absence of Christmas decorations just makes it look different m'deario. x

Oh no you've been having trouble too with the comments Laney? I'll have to look into that. :(

You can choos Eelwind if you like a happy ending or she wants revenge!

Oh no Marmie not you too. Why is everyone having trouble with my blog? Any ideas anyone? Help?????
