David's (Authorblog) question this week is
Hollywood's knocking on your door, to offer you top billing in a studio blockbuster, alongside any movie star of your choice. Whom do you choose?
If you'd like to take part here's David's instructions:
Please answer today's question on your own blog, any time until next weekend. Please link to this blog (or to this post) just so I can follow the progress of the discussion.
My co-star would have to be Harrison Ford. Born in Chicago in 1942 he is a few years older than me and been in movies for a while so he could show me the ropes.
How I would love to play opposite him in yet another 'Raiders of the Lost Ark', being saved from a pit of snakes by 'Indiana Jones', he could teach me how to crack a whip! Oh, to be 'Han Solo's' sidekick in yet another 'Star Wars' battle. I'd willingly join the Amish and be a 'Witness' if it meant spending some time at a barn raising with 'Det. Capt. John Book'. It would be heaven being stranded on a desert island with 'Quinn Harris' for 'Six Days and Seven Nights'. I could be a trolley dolley on 'Air Force One' looking after 'President James Marshall' or play the 'Working Girl' who teams up with 'Jack Trainer'. I could help 'The Fugitive, Dr. Richard Kimble' find the one-armed killer, or I could assist the 'Frantic' Dr. Richard Walker find his wife, but I really quite fancy myself as an inventor helping Allie Fox on the 'Mosquito Coast' .
Now point me in the direction of Make-up, the possibilities are endless -
Lights, Camera, ACTION!

Oh my - Patrick Dempsey, Harrison Ford, Dennis Quaid ... such lovely choices! Can I add John Cusack in, too? Please??
Harrison Ford... Great choice!
I'm back, lady. Thank you for all of your kind words and wishes.
G'day Akelamalu,
Thank you so much for taking part. It's a wonderful post and I love the conclusion.
VERY clever.
Did you know that he was actually a carpenter doing work at George Lucas's house? He said he could act and Lucas said ``Right, just rock up and try for this part in a movie I'm calling Star Wars'.
'Tis true.
Once again, thank you
David
What a great choice. I'd be quite happy to be his dresser. :o)
Rx
Great choices Akela !
Little known fact: As the actors are standing in position and the clapper/loader (an assistant in the camera dept. who loads the film into the camera magazines and operates the clapboard to mark each take) gets ready, the Assistant Director calls 'Roll sound.' The Sound Mixer begins operating the recorder. Once it's running he says, 'Rolling.' The Loader reads off the scene/take numbers, claps the board and boogies out of the way. Either the 1st Assistant Director or the Director calls 'Action!', depending on the personality of the Director.
Then the magic begins...
And Harrison Ford would be an interesting costar to have. He likes to throw spanners into the works during takes!
He's so awesome as Indiana!
Ooo love this Akelamalu.
I must post mine tomorrow or it will be too late.
Used to be Dustin Hoffman for me (25 years ago) but now I think - I'll think about it!
I wouldn't need a stand in Correspondent, if I got the chance to be anywhere near Harrison Ford wild horses wouldn't keep me away! ;)
Hope you have a go Bee I'm sure you'll choose someone great!
