Very true. Prince Charles (and his wife) was here in Pune yesterday to pay a visit to the War Memorial that is erected here for the WW-I & WW-II veterans.
Indeed. All of our WWI veterans are gone now. But their deeds live on because we remember them, just as all of those veterans who came before and after.
as a "navy brat" there is a veteran near and dear to my heart, that's for sure. :)
And your trip here sounds FABULOUS Ms. A. I used to live in New England and it is absolutely beautiful. I am excited to hear about your adventures already!
I remember when there were still quite a few WW1 veterans... now there are barely any from WWII... terrible. I hate getting older. And I missed the ceremony this year ho hum. (I just deleted a big antiwar rant.)

Ah yes Haddock, I saw a photograph in the paper here of Prince Charles laying a wreath. Did you get to see him?
We owe eternal thanks to those brave men and women who died. We will never forget them.

So many WW2 veterans pass each day. I wish I had garnered more stories from my dad and grandpa.

So many of my relatives have been in the military.
