"He's here again" the librarian noticed.
"Every day for the past two weeks, he's quite handsome, perhaps he comes to see me!"
"Excuse me, can I help you at all?" she asked fluttering her eyelashes.
"Errm not really, to be honest I've no heating at home and I come here to keep warm" he said.
Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

ROFLMAO!!! The poor Librarian ... getting her hopes all dashed by a cold handsome man. Perfect. Have a great Friday my friend :)
Not surprised! I heard a piece this morning about someone living in a mobile home where the temp inside is the same as outside. Aaagh!
LOL! perhaps that's the primary reason, the secondary is to see her.
He ought to stick close to the librarian as she's obviously got the hots!
I should have thought of doing that...it's freezing in my place!
(I don't believe him, by the way. Of course he wants her :) )
Maybe the librarian could warm him up. :)
I ... love a surprise ending ;-)
Cleverly conceived and created as usual.
Hugs and blessings,
too funny. Sarah

I think she was disappointed Thom :(

I don't think he could afford his heating bill Bee!
Really Buff? LOL
So glad you enjoy them Ron m'dear. xx
LOL Well he had to take his coat off or he wouldn't have felt the benefit when he went out Tony! (wink)
As always I sit here envious of how you have such a clever way with words!
Brrrrr!
He is lucky that the library has not been shut by the bad weather.
akelamalu: Oh...the poor librarian had such high hopes. And having someone who admires you from afar is kind of exciting.
I loved that snippet. I could see it in my mind.
have a fab weekend sweetie. I love your 55s.
xxx
Great as expected. I really understand going out to get warm.
Well done 55. It had that little twist that dragons like.
You see? THAT would be just my luck, too!
lol. i imagine they say the same of me coming for the internet...nice 55. hope you have a great weekend!
my 55 is up!
I'm tellin' ya...it's been cold here, thankfully our house is warm. Hope yours is too!
That's what happens when it's THIS cold outside! A terrific 55!
I've done that...but for the air conditioning not the heat!
I just think he's shy..hehehehe
Excellent 55 Ake Dear.
Thank you for your weekly Twisty, and have a Kick Ass Week-End...G
How kind Daryl, thankyou x
Brrr indeed Mama Zen!
That's so true Cheshire Wife!
I think the librarian should have just lived with her dream Spiky ;)
It's an option a lot of elderly people here have to consider with the rising costs of heating Dr. John, unfortuntately. :( Glad you enjoyed the 55.
Glad you enjoyed the twist Fandango :)
Mine too if I was looking for love Linda!
Oh I didn't realise you use the internet at the library Brian but it's a great idea. :)
Good to hear you're keeping warm with your little ones Tisha x
Yes it does Filicitas!
Either way it's a good solution Trav :)
I do too G-man LOL
It is quite warm in Athens. Maybe that is why nobody uses the library here, LOL.
good idea!
:-}
we have 2 really warm rooms in our house at the moment - and don't spend too much time elsewhere!
There's nothing like egg on your face!! Love it :0)
Ah, bummer! Once again you pulled me in and then...you totally surprised me. Thought this was going to be a nice romantic 55 but nope! Please write another chapter where the librarian goes after her man, please!
I imagine lots of libraries are more full than usual over this past week! Sweet tale, and not too far from the truth either, I suspect!
LOL! I used to work in a library and quite a few people would be there for the heat, the air conditioning, the bathroom, whatever. Poor librarian!
If he'd been smart, he would've let her warm him up. :)
Nice one!
LOL, Akalamalu! Happy New Year to you and your family! Wishing you peace and joy! :)
Too bad then. I believe she wanted to be of assistance :).
I wish I was in Athens Cathy :)
Good to know you're keeping warm Lettuce :)
Ah but don't you feel a little sorry for her Eternally Distracted?
LOL the twist got you Deb!
I'm sure it happens all the time Shrinky!
Yes I can imagine a lot of people use libraries for more than just borrowing books Susan :)
Yes but he's not smart Hope ;)
Happy New Year to you too Teach :)
She did want to assist him with something She Writes ;)
I bet many a person is sitting in the library to keep warm. Thats assuming they can GET to the library in the snow!
Nuts in May
Wonderful 55, Akelamalu!
LOVE it! I must admit that I've actually done this, but it was a store rather than a library. When we first moved to Missouri, there was an ice storm and we didn't have heat for two days. I spent that second day in a store for HOURS. I swear I looked at EVERYTHING they had for sale... twice. hehe
