We got back at 6 a.m. this morning (Thursday) and went straight to bed until midday! Since I got up I've been washing and sorting out the mountain of mail that was waiting for us.
We had an absolutely brilliant time and we have taken loads of photos, but you'll have to bear with me until I can download the photos and write it all up - I'll start early next week I promise.
Thanks for all your well wishes on my last post, we did as you told us and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
It felt BLOODY COLD when we got off the plane this morning - 3 degrees C when we've been used to 29 degrees C for the last two weeks!

I laughed........
when I heard this so I thought you may enjoy it too.
A woman says to her husband "Do you notice anything different about me?"
"No" he said.
"Guess" she said.
"You've had your hair done?"
"No"
"You're wearing a new dress?"
"No"
You're wearing new shoes?"
"No"
"You've lost weight?"
"No"
"I give up" he said.
"I'm wearing a gas mask!" she said.

Friday 55 #104 Love in the LIbrary.....
"He's here again" the librarian noticed.
"Every day for the past two weeks, he's quite handsome, perhaps he comes to see me!"
"Excuse me, can I help you at all?" she asked fluttering her eyelashes.
"Errm not really, to be honest I've no heating at home and I come here to keep warm" he said.

Snow, snow and more snow......
Today I haven't been out at all but I snapped these photos from my front and back windows are various times during the day.
MWM measured the fall at 11.00 am it was 6 inches!
It's now 16.20 p.m. and it's still snowing and I don't like it!

Snowcat......
Do you think this looks like a cat?
Our grandchildren built it on Saturday, they said it was a snowman but I think it looks like a cat!
We had a lot of snow here, again, on Saturday and apparently that has set the trend for the next week. We are never ready for snow here in England no matter how much notice we get. The gritters hadn't even been out on the main roads when MWM went out to get his paper yesterday morning and they certainly never come down our grove, we just have to wait for it to thaw. I'm just praying it will thaw before Wednesday 13th so that there's no way our flight to Barbados will be cancelled or delayed.
Keep your fingers crossed for us.
Edited to say:
I should mention that picture was taken in the centre of Manchester where the snowfall was very light on Saturday. The children built the snowcat whilst we were visiting my father. Where we live (and the grandchildren) we had about 5 inches of snow on top of the 6 inches from last week that hadn't disappeared! That may not be a lot compared to America and Canada but here in England it's enough to grind everything to a halt!

Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 103 New Year
She hated taking down the Tree and decorations.
The house looked so forlorn without them.
This year was different.
Everything back in their boxes she put it back in the loft until next December.
Reaching for the suitcases she eased them down.
Now, she thought, the time has come to pack…..
for their Caribbean cruise!
I'm so excited, we are actually going on a two week Caribbean Cruise on the 13th January!
You may remember I blogged about it in January 2009 just after I booked it.
Where the arrow is pointing in the picture of our cruise ship is where we will be spending two weeks after flying to Barbados to meet it. We will be visiting the following islands: Totola, St. Maarten, St. Kitts, Antigua, Dominica, Tobago, Isla Margaita, St. Lucia, Genada, St. Vincent and Maryreau.
So this is not really fiction, though it is 55 words.
