Lost
Lying here, abandoned, alone, forlorn, forsaken,
dishevelled, deserted, excluded,
obsolete, isolated, solitary.
Untenanted, unattended, useless, unwanted, unloved.
Wet, worn, destined for the scrapheap,
Never to have a partner again, life over.
How did it come to this?
Please explain how I came to be....
a lost, lone, lacklustre shoe in the middle of the street.
Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

isn't it strange how you'll always seem some random lone shoe out in the middle of the street or on the side of the road? great 55, ake. i haven't got one up yet cuz i've got nothing so far. LOL my family was stressing me...maybe i'll be in a more calm, creative mood later :)
How many times have I seen just one shoe? I don't know but I often wonder how someone could discard just ONE shoe? Must be a lot of one legged folk about... lol
Great writing as always Akelamalu. Leaving it to the very end to tell us exactly what is happening...
When I go up to the local forest, I must see several single shoes every week. Some child's (which I can understand if they were in a pushchair or something), but some adults...this has always puzzled me too!
Hi Akelamalu,
Hope everything is well and good with you. Hoping to be around more often now... so, see you soon

It's meant to go with the sock that doesn't have a mate!
Let's hope some prince scoops it up and finds the Cinderella who lost it!
Peace - D
You're so good at these, Ak. I never know what the last sentence is going to reveal!
Excellent 55, AK. It always makes me wonder what happened to the owner when I see a stray shoe where it shouldn't be. :D
wow creative stuff, you really are very good at this arent you? x
good one honey! i kept wondering what it would be!
smiles, bee
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Hopefully Prince Charming will pick up the shoe and reunite it with its' owner.
i'm finally up thx to missy! lol
I saw a lone shoe just yesterday. How very, very sad...especially for a heel. ;) Great job!

Nice 55, very smooth.
It always puzzles me how anyone could lose just one shoe Ciara :#
'a lot of one legged folk' - I never thought of that Cath, you made me laugh!
Oh yes children's shoes are always falling off Annelisa but adults? WTF?
Ah Buff you solved the puzzle, of course!
What a nice thought Riverpoet I'll second that!
Oh thanks Miss U, I'm glad you enjoy them. x

Thanks DK :)
Your creative muse never ceases to amaze me! Fun Friday Fiction for us … though sad for the forlorn little shoe w/o its mate … lying in the middle of the street.
Hugs and blessings,
I feel for that shoe... how tragic!
I was getting ready to send you a Care Package!!
Great Job Ake...You always have a little twisty thing..hehehe
Thanks for visiting and playing, and have a Great Week-End!
G xo
Hey there, "A!" Oh, that was a neat one. Very good! I got a "kick" out of it!
Donnetta
LOVED this!!!
How FUNNY you are, Akelamalu!
OMG...and that looks like a Chanel shoe, too!
Poor thing!
You had me going there for a minute....bwahhaahaa
lol, i can only wonder what cinderella must have run off without that slipper!
So tragic! Shoes should have pairs, and they should have lovely feet in them with well turned ankles and shapely calves.
Somebody pass a law!
Hehe. LOL. Funny way of writing bout the lost shoe!:) Great job once again
Alas, the poor shoe Storyteller. :(
Me too Anndi
You're so caring g-man x ;)
He he, glad you enjoyed it Donnetta :)
How could anyone NOT miss a Chanel shoe Ron? It beggars belief!
That was the idea Mimi, glad it worked. :)
Of course, that's it Lime!
Calm down Trav! ((wink))
ThanksHilary :)
How did she come to this?
She was worn by Cinderella!!
Bwahahahaha!
I know Mona, isn't it sad? :)
I often wonder about those abandoned solo shoes.
It's one of life's mysteries methinks Citizen!
There's a freaky wellington boot half submerged in concrete over the side of a railing beside the Kelvin river in Glasgow. That always makes me wonder too.
Very clever! I like this! I've never used, "scrap heap" before...must be English!
Oooer Topchamp that sounds spooky!
I suppose scrapheap is probably an English term MOI
