Grandma at Grandma's Goulash provides a picture and a word prompt for this Microfiction Meme and the rules are use the photo as inspiration for a story of 140 characters OR 140 words.
Want more challenge? Use the word of the week in your story. This part is optional.
This week's word is ARBITRARY here's the picture and my offering using the picture in 140 characters, including spaces and punctuation.
Their date went swimmingly, but a carpenter’s workshop was
not what Mel was expecting
when Dave asked her if she wanted to see his
shavings.
My brain wouldn't let me fit in the word ARBITRARY.
Hilarious! The vice squad were on hand I guess? lol!
ReplyDeleteSounds a bit spooky. I hope Mel said she WOODEN go to his carpentry workshop!
ReplyDeleteLOL He's a bit more literal than she expected. Thanks for the morning chuckle.
ReplyDeleteGuess she would have preferred an etchings invite. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteI think that could have been one of the better outcomes if that was the offer.....
ReplyDeleteNice tale.
well that was very arbitrary so you did a good job
ReplyDeleteAt 47 I seriously cannot even fathom how I would handle going on a date again. So I figure I would end up doing something very close to what Dave did.
ReplyDeleteGreat job!
Ah, some dates just don't go as planned. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteDave asked ARBITRARY if she'd like to see his workshop? Nope, it doesnt work unless you turn it into ARBITRARILY
