Friday 55 Flash Fiction #157 Too noisy......

He couldn't understand what all the fuss was about.

What's the problem?

Those teenagers next door made lots of noise and he didn't complain.

And that baby next door by one, good grief, what a racket!

Just because it was 3am.

Maybe it would be better if I lived in the country.

"Cock-a-doodle-doo" he crowed.

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

  11. I remember roosters crowing in the morning when I was growing up. For me it was always a comforting sound although I did not grow up on a farm. Now, these crazy suburbanites would freak if a rooster was close enough to be heard.

  17. The world at large is too noisy no matter where you go these days, there's always something mechanical buzzing or clattering around :-).

  18. I quite like the sound too but not at 3 am Valerie LOL

Yes, next door is a bit too close for comfort Flowerpot ;)

That rooster did it on purpose Brian LOL

My eldest son keeps chickens and the eggs are wonderful Tony!

Well 5 am is better than 3 am Daryl ;)

    LOL indeed Bee

I was wondering what response you would come up with G-man, thanks for being reserved. (wink)

You can buy alarm clocks that cock-a-doodle-do Ron!

    LOL no they don't Anthony

Teenagers can be more troublesome for sure Mama Zen!

There are more and more people keep chickens in the suburbs here now Beach Bum so I guess people will have to get used to it. ;)

I'm pleased it made you smile Jingle :)

    Cheers Steve

I think they just crow when they feel like it Gleds

    I'll look into it Grandma

    Glad you enjoyed it Belinda

I agree AJ but then I don't live next door. (wink)

    I think so SAW

A crowing cock sounds much better than something mechanical though don't you think Windsmoke?
