Susan at Stony River hosts this fun theme each Monday, so do pop over and read the others who have signed Mr. Linky. The rules are thus:
Every Monday Susan will post a picture for the subject of your story. Microfiction means the shortest of short stories. Think Aesop's fables, comic strips, or even jokes: complete stories that can be told in under a minute. For this game, the limit is a tweetable 140 characters or fewer, including punctuation and spaces.
Here's today's picture and my contribution.
Ruby and Thomas set off on the long walk to church.
It was their wedding day.
There was just one thing worrying Ruby.
The smell of sweaty feet.
BWAHAHAH No odor eaters? LOL We were going along the same line with our stories. :) Excellent my friend :) Have a wonderful week ahead :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah -- she better get used to the smell now if she's going to marry him!
ReplyDeletethats the least of her worries...
ReplyDeleteI like it! :o)
ReplyDeleteMaybe by the time they get there, they will have a good airing. ;/ Funny!
ReplyDeleteWell at least Ruby is aware of one of Thomas' faults. I think if she can get past this walk, she will be OK.
ReplyDeleteSeems the smell got to both of us this week Thom LOL
ReplyDeleteYeah, they don't usually get any better do they Quilly?? ;)
You're not wrong there Scots Lass LOL
Thanks Deborah :)
Hopefully David :)
Sure, they'll be aired off by the Bill LOL
Maybe the fresh air will get rid of the smell before the wedding...grins.
ReplyDeleteAw, the course of true love, eh? (Giggle)
ReplyDeleteMaybe she can light some extra candles and incense once inside!
ReplyDeleteGreat short story to go with that neat picture.
That could be a problem :-)
ReplyDeleteClever!

Yeahhhhh...that would be a concern. It might keep them distracted and not stressing over the rest of the ceremony though.
ReplyDeleteO dear me.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it was exotic French cheese for the reception.
I remember encountering one particular sloppy soft cheese in France ~ it was like a near-liquid white horse-shit!
I think that's what Ruby is hoping Valerie ;)
ReplyDeleteYes it can be tough Shrinky ;)
I think she'll just make him wash 'em Crystalchick LOL
Yes it could Anthony LOL
Cheers Daryl x
It may do Priyanka
I don't think he'd ever taken his shoes off before Ellie
Only a little Bee ;)
I think the smell of sweaty feet is the only thing Ruby can think of at the moment Granny Sue LOL
That cheese sounds absolutely revolting Gleds and I adore cheese. :(
Guess the groom is out of his comfort range gulp gulp lol
ReplyDeleteOhh--I hope that 'sweaty feet' don't ruin their wedding plans! Hopefully they don't smell as bad as 'sweaty underarms'! LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a great week. Cheers!
Oh, no worries, Ruby. The dirt will wear off the odor during the long walk. I enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteSomeone should warn her that smelly feet will be the least of her worries after getting married!
ReplyDeleteThose are some legitimate jitters.... ;O)
ReplyDeleteOnce they get to church, she won't smell anything !
ReplyDeleteI just love, Love stories!
That would worry me too :) LOL.
ReplyDeleteakelamalu: Ho honey. Oooh, Rubie should had taken her shoes off like Thomas. :)
ReplyDeletethat way her feet wouldn't sweat.

ReplyDeleteSweaty underarms are far worse I think sylviamorice!
You're right the dirt will overshadow the smell Pat :)
Oh definitely Nitebyrd LOL
I think so too Diane ;)
Maybe the smell will have gone by the time they get to church eh Peggy?
Me too SeptemberMom ;)
That's a good idea Spiky :)
Once he puts his shoes on, he'll be fine. But he doesn't want to wear them out beforehand. A practical guy!
ReplyDeleteHey, Akelamalu - I dreamt about you and your hubby last night. It was a bit scary, as you dropped by for a visit and I live with a hoarder. You were actually in my apartment amongst the piles of stuff! LOL!
But if you're not wearing any shoes then your feet don't get as sweaty! I'd be more worried about sweaty palms myself but perhaps there are no nerves here!
ReplyDeleteGood thinking Julia. Re the dream - I hope we didn't scare you? LOL
ReplyDeleteThat's what worried Ruby - his feet smelled even though he wasn't wearing shoes Linda!
Cute words for the picture.
ReplyDeleteI would write.
I need to get some new shoes. I wear a size 12 and these are a 10.
I can't squeeze my feet into them anymore. Maybe I can cut the toe part off and wear them.
Connie
