Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 82 Hitchiker

Cathy sat at the side of the road, weary, praying someone would stop.

Gliding to a halt the driver beckoned her.

Chatting, flirting, he pulled off the road, killed the engine.

Cathy plunged the knife into his chest, then made her way back to the road...

stuffing his wallet into her rucksack with the others.

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

  12. Whoa - what a picture... I guess that's how some people survive stab wounds and some people don't. Depends on where it lands.

Another pared-down beauty of an Akelamalu Twisty Tale.

  23. Ya know, you and Amanda sort of have the same twisted macabre sense of storytelling except she does hers via drawing while you do yours via stories that suck us in and then stab us when we least expect it!
