Friday 55 Flash Fiction #10 Winning Numbers

Winning Numbers

"Have you got the lottery numbers for me?" demanded Jack

"Perhaps it's a bad line and they can't hear you" said Jill

"Can you hear me?"

A waste of time, thought Jack, it had been Jill's idea.

  4. we won some money on the lottery last year and nearly passed out! £90! So we put it in a pot and had lots of takeaways - well, several - to celebrate!

  7. That might be the best way to pick one's numbers as coming up with my own doesn't seem to work and who knows if the Quik-Pik machine isn't using the same method??

Ah, wouldn't it be nice to see one's numbers come up? The things you could then - the freedom you'd have ... it boggles the mind!

  8. well there's a method for you!

  10. how cute...and very creative. I have often wondered do you belong to a creative wrirting group or did you begin flash fiction on your own. It is quite imaginative.

  11. Akela, you must try these numbers in the lottery this Saturday - you never know.

I remember when I won £15 million on the lottery last year my wife, always a worrier, said to me: "What about the begging letters?"
I replied: "Oh, I'll keep writing those."

  18. I am so with AirplaneJane. A big no on Ouija boards for me.

Oh and by the way, I think when you use the Ouija boards you need to be more specific. Did they spell out which lottery and how about which day. You know how those Jeanie's are always tricking everyone. I bet the board is just as bad.

    Very clever 55.
