Friday 55 Flash Fiction #209 The Night Shift...


He was afraid of the dark.

Hated being out at night.

Abhorred shadowed corners, the silence, the loneliness, the blackness,  not seeing daylight.

The night seemed endless, unceasing, perpetual, eternal. 

If only he could do another job, any job, a day job,

but it was impossible, utterly impracticable.

Vampires could only work the night shift!
