I too tried to speculate. 3 years and Det.Yin's investigation had got no further.

Yep, during these economically trying times, sadly, there ARE those of us who would rather jump, than stand in a merciless unemployment line. I, myself, would be more likely to get down on both knees and make a leap of faith. (THE PERK SO FAR: It might not pay the bills, but there's no "clean-up," if you know what I mean.)
