Friday 55 Flash Fiction #190 Valentine's Day....

"From A Secret Admirer" the card read with the dozen red roses.

Smiling to herself, she knew exactly who they were from, how lovely!

She would cook a special meal for her husband tonight.

Unfortunately, the card and the roses had to go,

she didn't want her husband to be jealous

or more importantly, suspicious!

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

  4. Actually I got a card from an unknown admirer this year. It turned out to be a marketing ploy from one of my suippliers at work - but it kept Kguessing for a while.

    Nice 55

    I know Cloudia

It probably did Valerie because he has no idea what's going on, yet!

How exciting AJ, when did you tell him?

It is Cheshire Wife, I suppose she could keep them and pretend she bought them for herself.

  13. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa! I had a friend in London who did ditch a dozen long stemmed roses, for that very reason - I jest you not! (Her lover must have been pretty thick to have ever sent them to her in the first place..)

  17. I think I'd have to come up with a cover story to get to keep the flowers.
