The wind was howling, leaves swirling outside, she hated this time of year.
Suddenly a knock on the door.
Wiping her hands, she went to answer.
Opening the door a crack she jumped back in horror at the grotesque sight that greeted her.
A scream escaped her lips.
The children laughed and accepted the treats.

That reminds me of my Grandma! She wasn't fond of Halloween so every year her daughter took her to a movie after the grand kids had visited.
