Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 90 Driving.....

The wheels on his car were spinning on the icy surface.

He hated driving on ice.

Suddenly it was out of control.

He pushed his foot down hard, the car slowed.

As he ground to a halt he heard his mother's voice....

"Jimmy, time for tea now, you can play in your pedal car later".
Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

  5. I hope your nerves are feeling better. I cannot believe the gall of that taxi driver! My friend in Canada had almost the exact same thing happen to her when a taxi pulled a u-turn from the curb in front of her as well! ugh!

I hope things get back to normal quick for you. And tell little Jimmy to be careful on that ice! ;)

  7. Ah fun .. I hope Jimmy learns that when driving on ice, one needs to steer into a swerve, pumping the brakes not slamming them or else he'll end up in a crash ...

Sorry. I could help myself, as soon as I read he pushed his foot down hard, I thought OH NO He'll smash the car!

Hey is it my fault you write so well I had no ideas it was a TOY car?

  8. What fun! We're so often pulled out of our fun by something stressful---it's brilliant to feel his stress and then wow, discover it's playtime. I really enjoyed that!

  23. Heheheheheheee!

I had a Big Wheel when I was a kid. We didn't live where it snowed, but we did get a lot of rain and that would make lots of mud. And skidding about in the mud on a Big Wheel is FUN!

  33. You always rock the socks off of the 55!

  34. Well this is how you learn. My son is going for his real license now and his friend doesn't know the gas pedal from the brake. So we are taking him to drive the electric cars at the nursery so he gets a chance to learn and maybe try out the gas cars on the go cart car racing strip nearby. The kids used to love it when they went for birthday parties.Life is good. :)
