Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 74 Addicted..



Shelly knew she was addicted.

She was doing it four times a week now.

She'd read and heard all the horror stories.


She'd never believed them but now the proof was visible.

The doctor had confirmed the damage it had caused.


She had to do it, give it up.

Had to stop...

the sunbed treatments.

    heh the second line made me think, "sex?"

    Blah sunbeds are icky but coming from Alaska I know a lot of people that use them. I knew one person that owned her own and used it ALL THE TIME. She was ORANGE. I love orange, but not as a skin color.

    oh I love this!!! I was thinking of addiction to drugs, duh, i love the ending though so many women do this and it is another addiction. good to raise the awareness of this. I really love it!!

    ...I know this addiction very well. In fact, I'm a recovering sunbed treatment addict!!

    I use to use one when I lived in Florida, in between going to the beach!!!

    I love this one. I used to go to a tanning place. I felt like I was cooking myself. I stopped. It was so hot and I read about all the jerms on it, it creeped me out.
