Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 18 Missing Child

Missing Child

The neighbours were all out searching for Kathy

Mother and Father frantic with worry, fearing the worst.

She’d been gone for hours

“When did you notice her missing?” the policeman asked

Where on earth is she?

They had looked everywhere, where could she be?

“What’s up Mum?” said Kathy crawling out from the understairs cupboard.

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by susiestheboss. If you want to take part pop over and let Susie know when you've posted your 55.

  6. Aww, a happy ending. I hope Kathy did not get in to much trouble. :) This reminds me of a girl just found in the UK. Missing since Feb 19 only she was abducted. They found her today or recently.

Anyway very nice ending to your 55.

  11. One of mine used to like hiding - I was forever running up and down the road looking for her and she'd be laughing under a bed somewhere!

Thank God that little Shannon has been found safe and well.

  12. keeping w the 'missing' theme, i see. well done. :) i once went missing, too, but i won't tell the story because a)it's too embarrassing b)i'm luckily i'm alive (wasn't in danger, but could have been) c)shows how naive i was back when i was a little girl and d)can't show all my vulnerabilities, now can i? lol

  27. That's the best part about writing the story CG, it can have a happy ending.

Once the feeling of relief has kicked in properly that's exactly what you want to do susie!

    Thanks Travx

  30. hey I'm so glad they found her...

... what's all this chatter about "something dodgy because she was less than a mile away..?"

thousands upon thousands of people can live within a built-up square mile as we all know: how ridiculous!

and why on earth has the little girl been taken into CARE??? THAT is a weird one.

I'm just glad she's ALIVE... HURRAH!!

    ;->...

    ReplyDelete
  31. OK I'm not talking about Kathy I'm talking about that little girl from Oop North int' news... y'know't't one...

    ReplyDelete
  32. LOL you and your bathrooms Ron!

Thanks Storyteller and yes kids just love hiding don't they!

I realised you were talking about Shannon who has just been found Gleds. I have a feeling the authorities are not happy with Shannon's home life to take her into care rather than let her go straight home. :(

  33. LOL...my brother did this too!
