If you want to play along here's what to do:

Please answer today's question on your own blog, any time until next weekend. Please link to this blog (or to this post) just so I can follow the progress of the discussion.

What makes me happy......

  1. Seeing MWM's face last thing at night and first thing in the morning makes me the happiest.
  2. Seeing my sons and playing with my grandchildren always cheers me whatever mood I'm in.
  3. Going for a long walk - something I can now enjoy again.
  4. Sunshine always brings a smile to my face.

  5. Going on holiday makes me happy as I love visiting different places.

  6. People remembering my birthday by sending a card makes me happy, I'm never bothered about getting presents a card is always enough - it says I remembered you!
  7. Enjoying a lovely meal and conversation with friends is a happy time.

  8. Sharing Christmas Day lunch with all the family.

  9. Getting my hands dirty in the garden then sitting back and surveying the result.

  10. RETIRING FROM WORK will make me estatic!

  10. I just wanted to drop by and say I browsed the Kit story. I think it is so incredibly wonderful that your dad asked so many questions and wrote his mom's story. I really wish I would've thought to do something like that for my great-grandparents. What a wonderful legacy.

  11. Ahh Akeamalu.
    Just catching up.
Glad to hear today was ok.
I found going back after 6 months maternity leave a bit scary, but 10 months, well, you've done it.

We won't forget you, and we'll keep visiting however few and far between your posts become.

I've a feeling you'll find the time though.

    Blogging is kind of addictive.

  13. Spending time with my husband at the summer log cabins we go to always makes me peaceful and happy. Going to a wonderful concert and out with friends. AND petting my cats! (Well that makes them happy too!)

I thought I'd visit you as I see you almost everywhere I go! I'm a semi-retired teacher of Gr. 1-8 in Canada.

  23. I don't think I'd know where to begin- it doesn't take a lot to make me happy. Sometimes it's just the simple pleasure of seeing the wild flowers along the roadside or a lone eagle against a brilliant blue sky. Or learning that I got to the bank before someone's check did!

  24. Hi! babe having big probs getting to bella, got locked out of my own blog (shock, horror), will have to ring you when Math here to try and sort it....

  25. how was going back to work?
    I have to agree, retirement
    sounds like a very happy
    proposition... ah, if only

my going on holiday means seeing
    my grandchildren as they live
2500 miles away... as much as I
would love to get out at a new
    airport, holding my babies is
    so special... oh dear, I've
started crying; but I am happy
    really I am.

hope I'm not too late sending
in my nursery rhyme answers; they
prove I never really grew up

    lotsa luv ann xxxxx

  26. p.s. just noticed your music list... oh my goodness, I have to listen to Bon Jovi everyday and Thank You For Loving Me, for being my eyes 'cos I couldn't see, for being... yeah yeah, enough I know... but it is one of my ab fab favs... his Crush album is my ab fab fav, although have you heard Lost Highway his latest... it's very good and I'm thoroughly enjoying every track.

However, I was sitting here in a trance listening to Savage Garden until I saw Rod Stewart's name... okay, everyone's allowed the odd mistake ;>)

  29. I so agree with you with #6, I don't need presents just to know that someone remembered is enough for me!
