I stopped by the other day when I saw your lovely comment on my blog and Blogger would NOT cooperate, ha! Anyway, I love your idea of the wormery. My compost pile is full of the little creatures but I could always use more! I am a gardening NUT and my one contribution to Earth Day is putting up Mason Bee Houses a few years ago to encourage mason bees to come and use them for laying their eggs and then hibernating away for the winter. I now am the proud "mother" of my 4th generation of bees, and each year there are more and more. I've been terribly concerned about the serious demise of honey bees all around the world, and a lot of naturalists are encouraging people to try and help out the mason bees. They're prolific pollintors and they don't sting. My neighbor was commenting the other day about all of my mason bees coming over and pollinating her fruit trees, haha! I don't know if you have them in the UK, but it's a blast watching them go about their business...you can practically put your nose up to the houses to peer into the birthing tubes and never have to worry about being stung...they just ignore you. Thanks so much for stopping by...I hope you'll come again. The door's always open!!MissKrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12726021829363492972noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922338030834754301.post-71689262820387519682007-04-22T16:01:00.000+01:002007-04-22T16:01:00.000+01:00Hi Bee, I will.Hi Bee, I will.Akelamaluhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11234268568845148285noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922338030834754301.post-43953183995033829222007-04-22T15:53:00.000+01:002007-04-22T15:53:00.000+01:00sounds like a wonderful idea, the wormery thingy! ...sounds like a wonderful idea, the wormery thingy! keep us informed!

smiles, beeEmpress Bee (of the high sea)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08300140506585000934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1922338030834754301.post-56060492537119275082007-04-22T15:24:00.000+01:002007-04-22T15:24:00.000+01:00taljMy son told me about wormeries about 12 months...talj
My son told me about wormeries about 12 months ago, he's in the process of clearing his back yard then he intends getting one too.
