Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 52 Air, I need Air.....

Air, I need Air

"I need fresh air" he gasped "but I'll have to be careful, they'll be watching for us to come out of the tunnels."

He inched his head through the opening, trying to be inconspicuous but
They spotted him.

Next thing the worm knew he was the rope in a tug of war between two ducks!

Friday 55 Flash Fiction is brought to you by G-man (Mr Knowitall). The idea is you write a story in exactly 55 words. If you want to take part pop over and let G-man know when you've posted your 55.

Worms eye view, eh?
You are delighful, Ake!
I thought this piece would become a holocaust escape tear-jerker based on your recent visit to hell. But you instinctively knew that we all need a break just now - and provided it wonderfully,
Aloha my friend ;-)

You know there was a movie made in Poland in the '60's B&W and I think it was called the "Tunnel"...about a few people in WWII looking to escape but get trapped. Check it out sometime...enjoy the weekend! :)
